(KNSI) - Officials have identified the St. Cloud officer shot in the hand early Monday morning.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Officer Ryan Priebe was released from St. Cloud Hospital on Monday and remains on standard paid administrative leave.
Officer Priebe also discharged his Taser during the incident.
He was the only officer on the scene at the time of the incident.
The BCA investigation of the incident is ongoing. When the investigation is complete, the BCA will turn its findings over without recommendation to the Stearns County Attorney’s Office for review.
Priebe has been with the St. Cloud Police Department since 2006.
Sumaree Dashon Bosse was charged on June 17 with first-degree assault of a peace officer.
The arrest of the 18-year-old led to false social media rumors that police shot two black men.
Those rumors led two several nights of rioting in St. Cloud resulting in damage to several businesses, the police department, and the Community OutPost.
