(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University is renovating the Administrative Services Center.

According to the university, the improvements will provide a new front door to prospective students and their families.

The changes will also make it easier for students to use offices such as financial aid records and registration.

All offices will remain open during construction, which is expected to be completed in spring 2020.

The recent land sales to the City of St. Cloud are funding the majority of the renovation. Last year, the University sold Talahi Woods and land in George Freidrich Park to the city for $855,000. In all the city bought 53 acres. The money came for the sale of 19 acres of land to Heritage.

The funds can only be used for specific projects, such as building improvements, and cannot be used for the general fund.

Among the plans for the renovation are new carpet and furniture, upgraded wall treatments and lighting, accessible restrooms, improved Admissions presentation room, a notable alumni display, and an open-concept area focused on students.
