(KNSI) - Nineteen Sauk Rapids-Rice High School seniors made commitments to play sports in college next year.

Twelve of the athletes are staying in Minnesota and the other seven will go to school out of state.

Some of the local schools include St. Cloud State University and St. John's University.

Six of the kids will be playing football. Three are going on to play baseball.

Two will compete in volleyball and two will compete in cross county & track and field.

The other athletes will be competing in softball, lacrosse, diving, swimming, tennis and basketball.

Soleil Newland, University of Northwestern, Volleyball

Brady Posch Nebraska-Omaha, Baseball

Samuel Ringger, University of Minnesota Duluth, Cross Country & Track and Field
