Helicopter reported missing crashed in a gravel pit southwest of Pearl Lake near County
Road 148 and 113th Avenue. No information on the those on board was available. There were three guard members on board.
(KNSI) - The Minnesota National Guard says they've lost contact with one of its Black Hawk helicopters after it took off from the St. Cloud Regional Airport on Thursday afternoon.
National Guard Captain Melanie Nelson says they've lost contact with the helicopter around 2 PM and are trying to determine where it is.
The Guard hasn't said if the helicopter went down or not.
The St. Paul Fire Department sent a tweet saying they've deployed a rescue squad to help search for the helicopter after a report of an aircraft down near Saint Cloud following a mayday call.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
