Man Charged In Gunpoint Robbery

(KNSI) - A man is accused of robbing a person at gunpoint in St. Cloud, then crashing into a snowbank.
Police say on Saturday, 21-year-old Curtis Lee Gilliam IV and another man were shown a large sum of cash by a man at a friend’s house near 22nd Street South and Clearwater Road.
The victim says Gilliam and the other man pulled a gun on him and demanded the money and his cell phone.
According to the criminal complaint, they got into a maroon van, crashed into a snowbank, and got out and fled on foot.
Police were able to find footprints in the snow.
The victim used the Find My iPhone application to track his phone. The tracker showed the phone was near McKinley Place and University Drive South.
Gilliam was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over. Police searched him and allegedly found the victim’s cell phone in his pocket.
The second man hasn’t been located. The incident is under investigation.
Gilliam has been charged with Aggregated Robbery in the 1st degree involving a dangerous weapon.
