(KNSI) - A railroad crossing in Kimball caused traffic to get backed up on Thursday afternoon.
The crossing arms are for the Canadain Pacific tracks over Highway 15. The issues caused traffic to snarl on the highway for miles.
A driver who got caught in the traffic told KNSI News they were stuck for more than an hour.
Officials with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office say they aren't sure what caused the problem.
The issue was reported around 2:30 p.m. At 4:30, the arms were still down.
The sheriff's office set up a detour.
A message has been left with The Canadain Pacific Railroad company to try and find out what happened.
