(KNSI) - Kohl's and Macy's have announced that their Minnesota locations have reopened.

Kohl's announced that all 28 of its Minnesota locations will open to foot traffic. They were previously open for curbside pickup only.

Macy's will be opening several locations around Minnesota, including the location at Crossroads Center Mall in St. Cloud.

Both retailers will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

Malls and other retailers have been allowed to reopen under Minnesota's relaxed Stay Safe Minnesota initiative this week.

Crossroads Center Mall reopened common areas on Monday, leaving the decision to reopen up to each individual store.

Both retailers have instituted additional policies and physical improvements to ensure customer's safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Macy's has started a more rigorous cleaning process on most parts of the store and installed plexiglass shields at registers.

In an email to customers, Kohl's says they have special shopping hours for at-risk customers from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Wednesday.

They also require employees to get wellness checks at the start of each shift and they must wear a mask while working.

Kohl's also says their fitting rooms will remain closed and beauty samples will be suspended to reduce high-contact touchpoints in the store.
