(KNSI) - Waite Park is celebrating international “Welcoming Week” by hosting a display of immigrant stories in Central Minnesota.
The Central Minnesota Green Card Voices exhibit is at Waite Park City Hall from now until September 22nd.
Community members are encouraged to come and view this free exhibit during regular City Hall hours.
The exhibit features 18 first-generation immigrant and refugee stories from 12 different countries.
The stories are told by community members who live and work in the area.
The annual celebration is hosted by Welcoming America and encourages communities across the world to bring together immigrants and the rest of the community.
The event is being co-sponsored by #unitecloud and Lutheran Social Services of Central Minnesota.
