Gas Prices Over $2 a Gallon, but Still 50 Cents Cheaper Than 2019

(KNSI) - Gas prices in Minnesota are much lower this Fourth of July weekend than they were last year.
According to Triple-A, the average price for regular unleaded in the state is $2.10 per gallon, down 50 cents from last Fourth of July, and seven cents cheaper than the national average of $2.17.
Benton County has some of the cheapest gas in central Minnesota with an average of $2.03 per galon. Morrison County's average per gallon is $2.05, Stearns County's average is $2.06 per gallon. Sherburne County's average per gallon is $2.14 and Wright County's average per gallon is $2.12.
Some of the cheapest gas in the state is in Red Lake County at $1.96 per gallon.
Around the Upper Midwest, North and South Dakota's average price is on par with Minnesota at $2.10. Iowa is $2.09, and Wisconsin is $2.11.
