Fundraiser Hockey Game For Wounded Vets In Sartell

(KNSI) – A team of veterans of the armed forces will be playing a team from a local business to raise money for a good cause.
Blattner Energy will host a fundraising hockey game with the MN Warriors veteran’s team on January 25 at Bernick’s Arena in Sartell.
The MN Warriors ice hockey team is made up of Minnesota’s who have served in the United States Military.
The organization was created to help wounded, injured, or otherwise disabled veterans of the United States Military to have a place where they can come together as a team to support one another.
The Blattner Energy ice hockey team is made up of employees of Blattner who wanted to put their hockey skills to use to benefit other organizations.
The team will be escorted by the Sartell police and fire departments and will arrive at a community welcome at the rink at 7 pm.
The puck drop will be at 8:10 pm.
Minnesota Wild singer, John deCausemeaker will perform the national anthem.
Admission to the event is free; donations are welcomed.
There will be a Sartell Youth Hockey Association Mite game played during the first intermission, and there will be chances to win a variety of hockey-related items and a portion of the chuck-a-puck pot thanks to the MN Warriors.
