(KNSI) - Beaver Island Brewing Company is getting in the "back to school" spirit by selling t-shirts inspired by St. Cloud area schools.

High school rivals and co-founders of Beaver Island Brewing, Nick Barth and Matt Struder began selling Apollo colored and Tech colored t-shirts two years ago to support their alma mater and keep the rivalry alive.

"It doesn't matter how far removed we are from high school, there's still that crazy home town rivalry and it takes something as small as the color of a tshirt and who will sell more quicker to bring out that rivalry," said Barth.

They have since expanded the t-shirts to support five schools within the St. Cloud area including Cathedral, Sauk Rapids and Sartell.

"We're just proud of the schools in the area and excited to show our support."

Each year, some of the proceeds are donated to LEAF, Local Education and Activities Foundation to support District 742.

T-shirts range in price from $20-$25 and can be bought at the Beaver Island Brewing Taproom.
