Mayor Dave Kleis was first elected mayor of St. Cloud, Minnesota, in November 2005. He was reelected in 2008, 2012, and 2016 all while running unopposed. On November 20, 2018 Mayor Kleis became the longest serving Mayor in St. Cloud’s history. He is recognized in the St. Cloud community as a local historian, a visionary, and an influential leader. He was selected in 2010 by the St. Cloud Time’s readers and area leaders as the most influential person of the last decade, in 2014 he received the League of Minnesota Cities C.C. Ludwig Leadership Award and was recognized as one of Twin Cities Business’ 100 People to Know in 2018.
