(KNSI) – A woman was arrested after allegedly trying to run people over during a brawl in St. Cloud.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to a fight in the 1000-block of 6th Avenue South for many people fighting, and one person had a Taser.
Multiple St. Cloud Police Officers arrived on the scene and separated the people involved in the fight.
Investigators say a 19-year-old St. Cloud woman tried to strike two people with her vehicle a short time before the fight.
Police say the woman tried to hit the victims in a parking lot, got out of her vehicle, and started to assault them.
The 19-year-old woman allegedly used a Taser during the assault.
Two others were cited and released for obstructing the legal process for interfering and fighting with officers as they were investigating the call.
There was a large police presence in the area due to the number of people initially fighting and groups of people that showed up after officers arrived.
Mayo ambulance was also on scene and checked multiple people for minor injuries from the fight. None of them needed to be taken to the hospital.
No officers were injured during the incident.
The 19-year-old woman is being held in the Stearns County Jail on two counts of second-degree assault, fifth-degree assault, and obstructing legal process.
KNSI doesn’t name suspects in criminal cases until they’re formally charged.
