(KNSI) – Minnesota sees 519 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths from the disease on Tuesday. The death count includes one person from Wright County who was in their 70s.
There are 79 new cases in the St. Cloud area: eight in Benton County, two in Morrison County, 22 in Sherburne County, 27 in Stearns County and 20 in Wright County.
Out of the 10,578 COVID-19 tests processed on Monday, 4.9 percent came back positive. As of Tuesday, 440 people are hospitalized in Minnesota for COVID.
As for vaccinations, almost 62 percent of Minnesotans age 16 and older have gotten at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly 4.9 million vaccine doses have made it into the arms of Minnesotans since the vaccine rollout began in late December.
Just in Stearns County, more than 67,000 people have received at least their first dose. That includes 94 percent of county residents 65 and older.
