(KNSI) – A new leader has been hired to take over the College of Saint Benedict athletic department in 2021-22.
Kelly Anderson Diercks has been hired to take over as CSB’s athletic director starting July 1.
Diercks is an Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Augsburg University for the last 13 years.
Diercks is responsible for compliance and eligibility for Augsburg’s 22 varsity sports programs and more than 450 student-athletes.
She also played a crucial role in establishing women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport at Augsburg.
While at Augsburg, she served on committees, facilitated and managed halftime promotions for corporate sponsors, assisting with facility improvements at Augsburg’s Si Melby Hall and the Augsburg Ice
Arena and served as event management for numerous MIAC and NCAA championships.
According to CSB administrators, she was chosen for her vision for the department, her experience in an athletic administration role, and her knowledge of the value of women’s athletics.
