SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) —
The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated the Alexandria Cardinals in high school baseball action on Thursday night.
The Cardinals scored twice in the 5th inning. The first coming on a Lake Hagen RBI single. The other came on a Tigers throwing error.
The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning including a walk-off 2 RBI single from Matt Friesen. He was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
Thomas Hoffman started for the Tigers pitching 6 1/3 innings and giving up 2 unearned runs.
The Tigers next game is on Monday against St. Francis.
