(KNSI) – The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation and the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, along with other nearby chambers, have posted an online survey for investors and chamber members to sound off on how widespread is the issue of employee shortages.

Questions asked include how many job openings they have, how long it’s taken to fill open jobs in 2021, the wage ranges of jobs that are difficult to fill, and how employee shortages have caused organizations to make adjustments.

GSDC President Patti Gartland said the organization is asking businesses to let them know the extent of the current challenges by responding to the short survey, which is also confidential. Gartland says, “We’ll tabulate the results, share them with the business community, elected officials and others to hopefully identify similarities and potential solutions.”

The results will be compiled and shared later in May.

Greenfield Communications is conducting the survey. They have also done surveys for the City of Sartell and other organizations around the state.
