(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is resuming its “I Can!” outdoor skill-building programs this year.

The “I Can!” programs — designed to teach families how to camp, mountain bike, hike and more at low to no cost — were put on hiatus last year due to the pandemic.

While the “I Can Fish!” and “Archery in the Parks!” programs are still on hold, registration opened Monday for the DNR’s camping, canoeing and kayaking, hiking and mountain biking programs at Minnesota state parks.

The earliest events happen during the first weekend in June, and the DNR says COVID-19 precautions like face masking and social distancing will be observed.
