(KNSI) – Minnesota reports 1,105 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths across the state Monday.

The five-county St. Cloud area adds 111 new cases: Benton County 12, Morrison County 16, Sherburne County 28, Stearns County 27 and Wright County 28.

In Sunday’s COVID-19 update, two people from Sherburne were included among the six deaths reported.

Minnesota’s overall test positivity and new case counts continue to fall, as 5.4 percent of the 20,527 tests processed on Sunday returned positive results. 576 Minnesotans are currently hospitalized for COVID-19, a figure that has been declining over the past two weeks.

Meanwhile, 2,585,053 Minnesotans have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose. The number of people who are now fully vaccinated is closing in on 2 million: 1,984517. In Stearns and Wright counties, about 50 percent of the eligible population has gotten at least one vaccine dose so far. Benton and Sherburne counties still see COVID vaccination rates among adults in the 35 to 38 percent range, while 43 percent of Morrison residents 16 and older have gotten the vaccine.
