(KNSI) – Giving back to those who were willing to give all, veteran-owned Higher Dimensions Roofing is partnering with Owens Corning and Purple Heart Homes to continues their yearly tradition of providing a completely free new roof to a veteran in need.
David Goering, marketing manager for Higher Dimensions, salutes this year’s winner, “His name is Sargent James Gill. He was in Vietnam and injured in combat. Their tanker truck hit a mine. He’s got prostate cancer from Agent Orange. He’s got hearing loss. He’s an actual purple heart recipient.”
Sargent Gill, of Cold Spring, was nominated by his daughter, Amy. He was previously denied by insurance, but with a leaking roof, action was needed. The winning veteran gets his new roof by Veterans Day.
