(KNSI) – Gunshots rang out in St. Cloud on Friday afternoon when police say two people got out of a car and fired at another moving vehicle.
St. Cloud police were called to the 2000 block of Quarry Road around 3:50 in response to reports of gunshots. Officers found several spent shell casings in the neighborhood on the city’s west side.
Witnesses told officers one car was following another when one of the vehicles stopped. The two people who got out of the stopped car opened fire on the other vehicle as it drove away. Both cars then left the scene.
No one was hurt. Police say the shooting does not appear to be random.
On Saturday, investigators identified both vehicles and one of the people involved. Officers arrested a 17-year-old St. Cloud boy, who was taken to secure detention and is being held on charges related to the shooting.
The St. Cloud Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate. Police say there are no further updates at this time.
Police didn’t release the name of the suspect.
