Kim Pelletier Officer Mitchell Mueller Cold Spring Police K9 Ghost
City of Cold Spring/Cold Spring Police Department

(KNSI) — A local quilter has given a handmade tribute to a Cold Spring Police K9 and his handler.

Kim Pelletier presented a K9 Quilt of Honor to Officer Mitchell Mueller and his K9 partner Ghost on Wednesday. Pelletier bought the kit at the St. Cloud Quilt Expo in June. The quilt features the Thin Blue Line flag and a German Shepherd block with Ghost’s name embroidered on it. Paw print stitching runs throughout, and a personalized tag sewn on the quilt lists the K9’s name, handler, quilt maker, and date.

K9 Quilts of Honor recognize law enforcement, military, and fire search and rescue K9s and their handlers for their willingness to serve their communities and stand in harm’s way.

Officer Mueller, Ghost and the entire department thanked Pelletier for the gift.
