(KNSI) – As we plow through the leaves, the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota is getting pumped to plow through the snow.

The Club’s annual fall meeting is coming up and features Deb Diggins, the mother of Jessie Diggins, the most decorated Nordic skier in U.S. Olympic history. Ski Club President Molly Weyrens on the inspiration Jessie provides, “Just so grateful for her good mentoring and good messages that she gives kids and gives people in Minnesota the opportunity to say, ‘wow, this could be me if I really put my mind to it.'”

The meeting is set for October 25th at Sartell Middle School at 6:30 p.m. The event is free. Looking ahead to the season, Weyrens has two words, “Think snow!”
