(KNSI) – A routine inspection of the University Bridge on Tuesday turned up localized deterioration around several manholes.
A press release from the City of St. Cloud Engineer’s Office says the deterioration is limited to the area around the manholes, and the affected spots are marked with orange and white traffic barrels to keep vehicles from driving over them. The engineer’s office says the bridge is safe for public use.
All traffic lanes and the sidewalk remain open.
A bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled for next year to take care of the issue. The barrels will remain in place until then.
