(KNSI) – Stoney Brook Farms is celebrating the 10th season of its Harvest Fun Days by adding more than 30 new activities.
Owner Brad Chmielewski told KNSI the farm now has more than 60 activities included with admission, including the return of the Ferris wheel and a new pumpkin display with plenty of photo spots.
The farm still bills its 60-acre corn maze as Minnesota’s largest. It’s split into easy, medium and hard sections. “The theme this year is a pirate treasure map. So X marks the spot on the map and a lot of cool pirate themes out there this year as well.”
Paths wind past a skull and crossbones, a pirate ship, a volcano and a compass. Visitors can scan a QR code at the entrance to track themselves on a map on their phone, or ask for a paper map.
Harvest Fun Days started in 2017 with an eight-acre maze and three or four activities. Chmielewski says it took off around the COVID pandemic, when the farm had the world’s largest corn maze. “To be able to do this for 10 years, we’re super grateful for for everybody coming out every year to visit us and all the new faces that come to see us too, and we hope to be doing it for a while yet.”
Admission prices are the same as last year. Tickets are $12 per person on Saturdays and Sundays, when the farm is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Starting Friday, October 2nd, the farm will also be open Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with tickets at $10 per person. Kids two and under get in free.
Five to seven food trucks are on site most weekends, though there may be fewer on Fridays. Harvest Fun Days runs through November 1st at 989 115th Avenue Northeast in Foley.
Themed days run through October:
A sensory-friendly evening is Friday, October 9th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Dog Days with Ruff Start Rescue is Saturday, October 10th.
Flashlight Night is that same Saturday, with the maze open until 10:00 p.m. Visitors need to bring their own flashlight, because cell phone lights won’t work.
Grandparents Day is Friday, October 16th. Grandparents who pay for their grandkids get in free.
Brand Valley Farms Shires will offer horse-drawn carriage rides through the pumpkin patch on Saturday, October 17th, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Rides are $5 per person.
B&J Evergreen will bring Clark the camel on Saturday, October 24th, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., and hand out $5 coupons toward a Christmas tree.
