(KNSI) – A man is in jail after a woman was stabbed in the chest at a home in Grove City Sunday morning.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 800 block of Maple Lane at 9:25 a.m. on September 20th.
Family members at the home helped the 44-year-old woman until paramedics arrived. They also held the suspect until law enforcement got there.
The woman was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield and then flown to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
A 23-year-old Grove City man was arrested at the scene without incident. The sheriff’s office says the two know each other and the stabbing stemmed from a disagreement between them.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the home.
The man is being held in the Meeker County Jail pending his first court appearance. He has not been formally charged.
