(KNSI) – The League of Women Voters is giving residents a chance to hear from the six people running for the St. Cloud Area School District 742 school board before they head to the polls.
The candidate forum is set for Tuesday, October 6th, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the District Administration Office, 1201 2nd Street South in Waite Park. It’s free and open to the public.
The forum will also be livestreamed on YouTube, and a recording will be available afterward through the District 742 website and YouTube channel.
Three seats on the Board of Education are up for grabs in the November 3rd election. Incumbent Heather Weems is seeking another term. She faces challengers Al Dahlgren, Sonia Eizenhoefer, Robert Galler Jr., Vincent Miles and Steven Schiller.
Board members Zachary Dorholt and Natalie Copeland did not file for reelection, so at least two new members will join the board in January.
More information about the candidates is available on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website, where voters can also use the Polling Place Finder to look up where to vote. Absentee ballots and voter registration forms are available at the County Auditor’s Office.
