St. Cloud Area Reports 127 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,189 new cases of COVID-19 and five deaths across the state Tuesday.

There are 127 new cases in the five-county St. Cloud area: 11 in Benton County, five in Morrison County, 36 in Sherburne County, 37 in Stearns County and 38 in Wright County.

Of the 15,168 COVID tests processed in the state on Monday, 7.8 percent returned positive results.

As for vaccinations, more than 2.3 million Minnesotans have gotten at least their first dose of the vaccine. That’s just more than 41 percent of the state’s total population and more than half of Minnesota residents age 16 and older. More than 70 percent of those vaccine recipients are now fully vaccinated with two doses or had received the one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
