Fall Tour of Homes 2026: Free Home Tours in Sartell, St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids

(KNSI) — The Central Minnesota Builders Association opens its Fall Tour of Homes on Friday, giving the public a free look inside 17 new homes over two weekends.

Builder David Werschay of Werschay Homes told KNSI most visitors walk in with months of saved design photos already on their phones, pulled from multiple sources. He says that’s not where the good ideas actually come from. “We got AI, but the ideas, they come from the builder. So, when you see something that’s kind of cool that you like, ask about it.”

Werschay says the tour also draws plenty of people who have no intention of buying new. “Every now and then we have a house that would be remodeled that’s on the tour. But a lot of the contractors that you’re going meet out there may also have remodeling divisions, and they’re able to do that.”

He says additions are a steady request, and golf simulator rooms are a hot topic right now.

The homes are spread across Sauk Rapids, Sartell, St. Cloud, St. Joseph, Avon and Melrose, and range from patio homes to higher-end luxury builds. CMBA Executive Director Wanda Schroeder says visitors will see a mix of price points and styles rather than one type of house.

Home number three is a Habitat for Humanity house in Sartell, built in part by high school students working alongside CMBA builders.

One caveat for planners: home number 14 has sold and will not be open, though photos are still posted in the association’s free “Tour of Homes CMBA” app, which also maps a route between stops. Printed tour magazines are available at Coborn’s, Cash Wise and Little Dukes stores.

Organizers ask visitors to treat the houses as private property: no food or drink, keep an eye on children, and no bare feet. Booties are provided, and they go over socks, not over shoes.

The tour runs September 18th through the 20th and September 25th through the 27th. Hours are 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday and 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For a full list of homes and directions, click here.
