(KNSI) – Summertime by George closes out its 15th season Wednesday night with one of the concert series’ most familiar names.

The Fabulous Armadillos headline the finale at Eastman Park along the shores of Lake George in downtown St. Cloud. The night runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with acoustic duo Mel & Glen opening the show. The opening set is presented by Falcon National Bank.

The Armadillos formed in 2006 and have built a large and loyal following in Minnesota with recreations of songs spanning country, Motown, heavy metal and 1970s soft rock. The group also played early in this season’s slate with “What’s Going On,” its multimedia tribute to music of the Vietnam War era.

Mel & Glen are a Central Minnesota duo who met while teaching at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. Their sets pull from classic rock, 1990s hits, country, pop, indie and Latin music. Mel teaches social studies, and Glen is a former Spanish teacher who is now a professor at St. Cloud State University.

The free series is put on by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud. Net proceeds from sales of food, beverages, T-shirts and raffle tickets go to the club’s nonprofit foundation.
