Hiking Through History Series Stops At Warner Lake County Park Thursday

(KNSI) — The Stearns History Museum and Stearns County Parks bring their summer hiking series to Warner Lake County Park this week.

The third installment of Hiking Through History is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 13th, at the park at 1485 County Road 143 near Clearwater. The guided hike runs until 6:30 p.m.

The series pairs a walk through county parks with lessons on the natural wonders and ecosystems found there, along with some local history. Organizers say the routes run between one and one-and-a-half miles and are fairly gentle, but they recommend participants wear walking shoes.

The series opened in June at Kraemer Lake/Wildwood County Park and stopped at Quarry Park in July. One hike remains after Thursday: Rockville County Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10th.
