(KNSI) – Central Minnesota’s biggest annual charity gala has a theme and a ticket date.
CentraCare Foundation says the 52nd annual Holly Ball will be held Saturday, December 5th, at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud. This year’s theme is “How Sweet It Is,” which the foundation says was inspired by the joy, comfort and connection patients and families find during life’s most challenging seasons.
Individual tickets go on sale in early October. Sponsorship opportunities are available now, and the foundation is asking those interested to email foundation@centracare.com for details.
Money raised at the event benefits the Greatest Needs Funds for CentraCare Hospice, the Coborn Cancer Center and the Central Minnesota Child Advocacy Center. The foundation says the dollars provide direct support to patients and families going through cancer treatment and hospice care, along with those who need Child Advocacy Center services.
The Holly Ball has grown into one of the area’s largest fundraising nights. Last December’s 51st annual event drew more than 1,200 guests and raised over $920,000, setting new records in both the silent and live auctions. That gala carried the theme “Bridges of Life,” honoring caregivers and the support networks that help patients through difficult medical journeys, and featured testimonials from family members, friends and health care workers who have supported local cancer patients. Larry Logeman served as chair and Dan Barth as vice chair.
