(KNSI) – The City of St. Cloud will mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks with a Day of Remembrance ceremony next month.
Mayor Jake Anderson is inviting the public to the 9/11 Ceremony honoring the lives lost or forever changed on September 11th, 2001. The event is set for Friday, September 11th at 5:00 p.m. at the St. Cloud Police Department, 101 11th Avenue North.
The program will feature speakers from local churches, the St. Cloud Police Department and the St. Cloud Fire Department.
The ceremony also includes a performance of the national anthem, a wreath ceremony, a bell ringing, an honor guard piper, a rifle salute and taps.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the coordinated attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
