St. Cloud Drivers Face Lane Shift, Evening Closure Tuesday

(KNSI) – Motorists in St. Cloud will run into two traffic changes Tuesday, August 4th.

According to the city’s engineering department, traffic on Washington Memorial Drive will operate under a lane shift from University Drive to 7th Street South for planned utility work. Traffic will be maintained in both directions within narrowed lanes. Drivers are asked to reduce speed and use caution traveling through the work area.

The city did not indicate how long the Washington Memorial Drive lane shift will remain in place.

Separately, 24th Avenue North will be closed from 4th Street North to 5th Street North between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday due to a private event in the area.

The Engineering Department did not say what the event is.
