(KNSI) – A St. Cloud teenager was on the field earlier this month for the FIFA World Cup Final, serving as a flag bearer at one of the most-watched sporting events in the world.
Brook’Lynn H., a graduate of Cathedral High School and the 2026 Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota, was on hand for the championship match July 19th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, according to a news release from the organization.
The trip came with her selection as Midwest Region Youth of the Year. She and the four other regional winners spent the weekend in New York, where they were given a shopping spree at the Adidas store and met professional athletes, actors and other celebrities who came up through Boys & Girls Clubs.
Brook’Lynn has been a member of the Southside Boys & Girls Club for 12 years. She was named the local organization’s Youth of the Year earlier this year, won the Minnesota Youth of the Year title in March, and took the Midwest Region title at a competition in Chicago in June.
She is now one of five finalists for the national honor. Boys & Girls Clubs of America will name its 2026 National Youth of the Year on October 1st in New York City.
