(KNSI) — A St. Cloud Metro Bus operator is a state champion again.
David Peacock took first place in the Small Bus Division at the 39th Annual Statewide Bus Roadeo, held Saturday, July 18th at the Southwest Transit Park and Ride in Carver. It’s the fourth year in a row Peacock has won the division.
The Minnesota Public Transit Association runs the annual event, which brings bus operators from across the state together to compete in safety and service skills.
Metro Bus sent six operators to the state competition, three Dial-a-Ride drivers and three Fixed Route drivers. Along with Peacock, Dial-a-Ride operators Wayne Prescott and Keith Drake finished in the top 11 of their division, as did Fixed Route operators Bob Braegelmann, Jason Hiivala and Carl Hallberg.
