(KNSI) – St. Joseph will host the 2026 Tour of Saints next week with cyclists choosing from four route options that wind through Central Minnesota.
The ride starts and ends at the College of Saint Benedict on Sunday, July 19th. Check-in opens at 6:30 a.m., and riders can head out any time until 8:30 a.m. Organizers say the event is not a race, and all types of bikes are welcome. Mechanics will be on hand at check-in before riders set out.
New this year is a 50-mile paved out-and-back route along the Lake Wobegon Trail that takes riders to Minnesota’s longest covered bridge in Holdingford. Riders reach the trail about one mile into the course.
The traditional 18-mile route also follows the Lake Wobegon Trail, with 16 miles of paved path. Organizers describe it as family-friendly and largely flat, with a rest stop at mile nine in Avon. Riders looking for more of a challenge can choose the 35- or 50-mile scenic courses, with hills and woodlands.
The ride serves as a fundraiser for the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. Registration is $46.10 for adults, $27.22 for students ages 18 to 22, and $11.48 for youth ages five to 17. Children age four and under ride free but must still be registered.
Online registration closes July 16th, and a limited number of T-shirts are guaranteed to riders who register by that date. Same-day registration is also available.
