(KNSI) – The final day of Rapids River Days is here, and it’s set to feature music, a petting zoo, and 25 food vendors.
Municipal Park is the host site for the festival’s annual Food Fest, taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. Throughout the day, a wide array of dishes will be available for purchase, including popcorn chicken, shredded pork sandwiches, meatball subs, and pork chop on a stick.
Festival Coordinator Marla Elness said the variety of options will appeal not just to those stopping by for lunch or dinner, but also to even the most particular of foodies. “There’s corn on the cob and barbecue specialties, and you can’t pass up those wonderful cheese curds. If you haven’t been to Food Fest before, that’s the item you’ll want to go after.”
Both food and beer tokens will be sold during Food Fest hours. Food tokens will cost $1.00 each, while beer tokens will cost $3.00. Three bands will take the stage throughout the day. Sawyer’s Dream will open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thunder Road will follow from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and HoneyBadgers will close the evening with a set from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Crafters and product vendors will also be at the park throughout the day. This year’s vendors include Young Living Oils, Color Street Nails, Small Town Creations, and Kandi Acres. Joan’s Ark will run pony parties and a petting zoo, while AirMax Trampoline is supplying multiple bounce houses.
A full list of menu items and attractions is available on the Rapids River Days website.
