(KNSI) — St. Cloud State University’s Husky Productions received a national award at the 18th Annual SVG College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta.

Husky Productions was honored for outstanding live non-game production in the collegiate student category for their pregame show before the SCSU Men’s Hockey game against North Dakota.

The awards recognize athletic departments, conference offices, professional networks, production companies, and students across six categories: Live Game Production, Live Non-Game Production, In-Venue Video, Cinematic Recap, Social Media Video, and Special Feature.

Husky Productions also had seven nominations as finalists in categories for outstanding game coverage, features, and commercials.

“To be recognized nationally speaks volumes about what Husky Productions is all about: real-world experience, high-level production and students who are ready to compete with the best in the country,” said Derrick Silvestri, TV studio manager at SCSU.

SCSU students also took home top honors in 2024.
