(KNSI) – A St. Cloud-area nonprofit that helps women escaping sex trafficking is closing the skincare store it ran to give those women job skills, though it says some products may return down the road.

The Terebinth Refuge announced Wednesday morning that it will no longer operate the Hope and Healing Store in Waite Park. The store will take orders through June 30th. It is asking customers for some patience in filling those orders, as the operation is currently staffed by one person who will get them out as quickly as she can.

The Hope and Healing Store opened in April 2021 as part of the refuge’s Employment Readiness Program, selling a natural skincare line so women who had been trapped in sexual exploitation could build skills and work toward independence.

Its products included creams, lotions, bath bombs, soaps, deodorants and other items.

The store told customers on social media that a few of its all-natural products will be available again in the future and asked people to stay tuned for more information. The store also thanked its loyal customers, saying they are greatly appreciated. Officials didn’t say why the shop was shutting down.
