Scam Jam: Lunch and Learn Event Coming to Waite Park

(KNSI) – Waite Park will host a Scam Jam: Lunch and Learn event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 at the Park Event Center.

The event will bring together AARP Minnesota, the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota, and other fraud-fighting organizations, including the St. Cloud Police Department, to learn about the latest scams. Members from these organizations will be on site to teach the public about their fraud-fighting resources. Attendees will also hear from expert speakers about the most important steps they can take to protect their money from scammers.

Doors will open and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Those interested in attending can do so by calling 1-877-926-8300 or by visiting the AARP’s website.
