(KNSI) – Looking for a safe and easy way to dispose of hazardous waste? Then give the Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Truck a try.
The truck will be on site at Holdingford High School (900 5th St.) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. The truck accepts numerous hazardous waste items that are otherwise unsafe to dispose of at home, including fertilizers, aerosols, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs and motor oil. A full list of accepted items can be found here.
Those unsure whether an item qualifies can use the county’s online Waste Wizard tool, available on the Stearns County website. Those who are unable to attend may drop off their items at the Waite Park facility, which accepts donations year-round.
The truck is next scheduled to appear at Holy Cross Catholic School (10651 County Road 8) in Kimball from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24.
