(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation has awarded more than $20,100 in scholarships to local high school students through its Unite for Success Scholarship Program.
Students from 18 area high schools and three universities received awards this year. The program has been supporting central Minnesota students since 1978, when six sponsors contributed $1,400. It has grown significantly since then, backed by local businesses, organizations, and individual donors.
“Each year, the Unite for Success Scholarship Program demonstrates the incredible commitment our business community has to the next generation,” Chamber President Julie Lunning said. “These scholarships not only help students pursue their educational goals, but also send a message that local employers believe in their potential and are invested in their future success.”
The scholarships came from Bernick’s, Coborn’s, DeZURIK, Central Minnesota Farm Show, Chamber Connection, Pine Cone Vision Center, St. Cloud State University Business Student Executive Council and St. Cloud Lions.
