(KNSI) – A Sartell beef farm is throwing open its gates to the public next month for a day of food, learning, and family fun, and it will not cost visitors a dime to attend.
Meadowbrook Farm will host a Community Field Day on Saturday, June 13th, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 2611 17th Street North in Sartell. The event is free, open to the public, and includes a complimentary lunch and a tour of the working farm.
Organized in partnership with the Minnesota Soil Health Coalition, the day is built around regenerative farming, the practice of building healthy soil to grow better crops and raise livestock. Owner and operator Alex Udermann, who serves as a mentor for the coalition, will share how those methods work on his own operation.
Beyond the farm tour, attendees can take part in discussions about local food, nutrition, and community led by area producers, shop a farm market, and browse a regenerative farmer expo. The event will also feature sessions on farm and family health, safety, and wellbeing. Organizers are billing it as fun for the whole family, with activities planned for kids.
Meadowbrook Farm is a multi-generational, family-owned operation rooted in the heart of Sartell. The Udermann family raises high-quality beef and has built the farm around a commitment to regenerative agriculture and strong community ties.
The field day is supported by a lineup of agricultural partners, including the Stearns County Farm Bureau, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Dairy Does More, and the Entrepreneur Fund.
