(KNSI) – A smoldering fire at a Grove Township building was extinguished Thursday night with minimal damage and no injuries reported.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 10:30 p.m. on May 21st to 37264 County Road 13 for a building fire. Deputies arriving on the scene saw a large amount of smoke coming from the top of the building.
The Melrose Police Department, Melrose Fire Department, and Freeport Fire Department all responded to the address. Crews assessed the smoke conditions in the roof area and used minimal amounts of water to extinguish the smoldering fire and prevent any further damage.
No severe damage was done to the building, and no one was injured.
