Sauk Rapids Woman Killed in Motorcycle Accident Saturday Afternoon

(KNSI) — A 27-year-old Sauk Rapids woman is dead after a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Sauk Rapids Township.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 12:35 for the crash at Mayhew Lake Road Northeast and 10th Street Northeast. Investigators say a 60-year-old St. Cloud man was driving west on 10th Street and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Mayhew Lake Road. Meghan Moran was driving her motorcycle south on Mayhew Lake Road and had the right of way when the man pulled into the intersection and struck her.

Moran was rushed to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital, where she died.

The crash remains under investigation.
