(KNSI) – The Tri-County Humane Society has scheduled a series of low-cost microchip clinics around the area through September to help make sure little fur babies are able to find their way home.
The first clinic is next week on Tuesday, May 19th, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at St. Cloud City Hall. The Humane Society is partnering with the city to hold the event. Those in attendance are asked to use the north entrance and park alongside Lake George.
Each microchip costs $10 plus tax. TCHS says microchips are the only permanent form of pet identification and are injected underneath the pet’s skin. Owner information can be retrieved via scanner, and the microchip will be registered during the clinic. All clinics are walk-in only.
Additional clinic dates and locations:
June 4th, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud
July 15th, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park
August 12th, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Waite Park Pavilion
September 26th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wilson Park in St. Cloud, as part of TCHS’ Companion Walk for Animals (Woofstock)
Microchips can also be scheduled by appointment at TCHS year-round for $20 plus tax by calling 320-252-0896.
