(KNSI) – Some dishes are only as good as the sides that complement them, and Day Four of St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week is celebrating just that. Wednesday is dedicated to Side Pieces, shining a light on local favorites that don’t always get the attention they deserve.

To start, foodies can pick up a cup of esquite, also known as street corn, at Catalina’s Michoacana in Waite Park. For a more adventurous pairing, the restaurant recommends ordering it alongside one of its signature fruit-based aguas frescas or a mangonada for a sweet, memorable experience.

Fried options are also on the menu, with classic fries at Val’s Rapid Serve and dill potato chips at MC’s Dugout. For something more unexpected, The White Horse is serving Sriracha Thai fried Brussels sprouts, specially flash-fried and finished with a tangy glaze.

On the drinks side, the Blue Goose Speakeasy will serve its signature Verbena. This delicacy is crafted to highlight the aromatic qualities of the lemon beebrush plant for a distinctive evening out.

To close out the day, dessert lovers can head to Jules’ Bistro for a Platinum Butterfly cocktail and chocolate macaron combo. The cocktail is made with Wheatley craft-distilled vodka, house-made coffee liqueur, Irish cream and toasted hazelnuts. The macaron features orange buttercream, dark chocolate ganache and a caramelized almond-hazelnut praline crumble.
