CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital is the latest recipient of an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit focused on safety and quality improvements in health care.

Hospital President Joy Plamann credited the grade to her team members, who she said show up ready and fully committed to helping patients. “Their genuine care for the whole person, along with their dedication to safety, makes a real difference for our community, and this recognition reflects the exceptional work happening across our hospital.”

The grade reflects how well hospitals protect patients from harm, based on performance across different safety measures such as infection prevention and surgical safety. The Leapfrog Group assigns hospital safety grades twice a year using independent data drawn from both hospital-reported information and public sources.

In a statement, the hospital noted that while the grade reflects strong performance, its primary commitment remains patient safety and improving care delivery across its sites and partnerships.
