(KNSI) — Stearns County’s 2026 resurfacing season gets underway Monday, May 4th.

Knife River Corporation of Sauk Rapids will begin removing pavement on County State Aid Highway 7 between the south county line and County Road 146. The project also includes work on several other county roads throughout the area.

County Road 19 from County Road 200 to Trunk Highway 55
County Road 19 from Trunk Highway 55 to Trunk Highway 4
County Road 20 from the Kandiyohi County line to 1.3 miles east
County Road 32 from Trunk Highway 71 to Trunk Highway 4
County Road 44 from County Road 46 to County Road 143
County Road 161 from County Road 23 to County Road 42
County Road 196 from Trunk Highway 55 to County Road 19

Most of the work should be done by mid to late August, weather permitting.

Drivers are asked to use caution in work zones and, if possible, avoid the area. Questions can be directed to the Stearns County Highway Department at 320-255-6180.
